RMHC Asia Scholarship 2021-2022 in USA

The RMHC Asia Scholarship Program in Las Vegas is designed to provide financial assistance to eligible high school graduates who face limited access to educational and career opportunities.  The Scholarships are awarded by the Ronald MacDonald Charities of Greater Las Vegas, with the support of the local McDonald’s owner / operators.

The RMHC of Greater Las Vegas has been providing scholarships to local students since 1999. Since then, our branch has awarded more than $ 4.4 million in scholarships.

The RMHC of Greater Las Vegas also collaborates with local organizations to offer additional scholarship opportunities unique to our class.  These Scholarships for Partners can be found on the RMHC Las Vegas High School application and may require additional supporting documents and / or eligibility criteria.

All complete applications from students in Clark and Nye counties in Nevada are personally reviewed and selected by RMHC members of the Greater Las Vegas Scholarship Committee.  Decisions are based on academic achievement, financial need, personal and professional goals, and community participation.  The RMHC of Greater Las Vegas does not select recipients on the basis of race.

  • To be eligible to enroll in a two or four-year college, university or technical school with a full course of study.

How Much is RMHC Asia Scholarship Worth?

RMHC Asia Scholarship is typically valued at around $ 1000 each.  You can use this money to pay for tuition, fees, books, supplies, and equipment required for your courses at accredited, not-for-profit two-year or four-year colleges / universities or vocational / technical schools in the United States.

But while most McDonald’s scholarships are worth $ 1,000, some are worth much more than that.  For example, this next year, there will be 30 McDonald’s® HACER® National Scholarships, ranging from $ 5,000 to $ 100,000.

The exact amount of other MacDonald Scholarships will depend on the local RMHC class.  So, check there for the latest information.

To find your local RMHC affiliate, go to Google and search for “[Local City] Ronald McDonald’s Charity Charity Scholarships”.  Then find the webpage for the chapter on scholarships.  If you cannot find any scholarship information, send an email to request more information.

 Is RMHC Asia Scholarship renewable?

Usually not.  Most McDonald’s scholarships are non-renewable, which means they are only valid for one year.  However, there are a few exceptions.

Depending on guidelines set up by your local RMCH branch, you may be able to renew your McDonald’s scholarship by submitting a renewal application.  This is another thing you’ll want to check when searching the local RMCH branch website or when requesting more information.

How can you use RMHC Asia Scholarship money?

The Ronald McDonald House Charities of the New York Tree State District (RMHC-NYTSA) will award $ 96,000 in scholarships to local Asian students through the 2016 RMHC / ASIA Scholarship Program (Asian Students Raising Achievement).  Now in its 16th year, RMHC / ASIA will award six undergraduate scholarships worth $ 16,000 to Asian high school students in the New York State Tri-District who demonstrate financial need, academic achievement, leadership, and community engagement.  To date, RMHC / ASIA has awarded more than $ 1.6 million, making it the largest and longest running domestic grant program of its kind.  Students can apply directly online at www.rmhcnytristate.org.

First, you will only receive your scholarship money if you are enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at an accredited school.  You must remain in school continuously during the academic year, unless the scholarship sponsor agrees to drop out.

Checks will be made directly to your school, although this may vary by RMHC class.  The money can be applied to tuition fees, books, and supplies.  Taxes may apply to funds applicable to room and board fees.

The following scholarships are need-based awards given to honor students’ academic, community and work performance.  You can apply for only one of the four scholarships listed, so focus on the one for which you are eligible.  For example, if you are a minority scholarship applicant, apply for the appropriate scholarship based on ethnicity if applicable.

Not all RMHCs will offer all of the following four scholarships.  There may be local prizes offered or sponsored by your RMHC, however – you can learn more by checking out your local McDonald’s restaurant.

How to apply for RMHC Asia Scholarship

After completing the FAFSA, you will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR) that shows you information about your eligibility for Federal Student Aid.  You will need to upload all five pages of your SAR, showing your Estimated Family Contribution (EFC), to your application for one of the McDonald’s Scholarships.  You will also need a SAR to fill in some financial information (see next section).

You should gain access to the SAR within two weeks of submitting your FAFSA. If you are applying for a National HACER Scholarship, you only need to submit your FAFSA Student Aid Report if you are selected in the semi-final round.

The application period for the first year scholarship runs from December 1, 2020 to April 1, 2021.  Applicants for the 2020-2021 academic seasons will be notified of their award status by the end of June 2021.
